More in DC

So if you visit DC and you’re here over a Friday evening check out the Marine Parade, a very impressive and patriotic display from the Marine’s and it’s free! We followed the show with a great meal at a South American/Puerto Rican café – if you were wondering they made great mojitos. While Mom visited we also checked out the Kennedy Center, once for the daily performance, yes, that’s right, there is a free concert at the performing arts center every day of the year! We then when back later in the week to see Shear Madness (which is an audience involved murder mystery/improv show. This is the longest running show of American Theatre) It was a lovely evening really, had dinner at the roof top restaurant, which was delicious with a great view over the Potomac.
Of course the 4th of July was another highlight, though a soggy one (it just so happened to pour on us…) even still, we enjoyed the show from the Iwo Jima Memorial, the fireworks went off with the Lincoln Memorial and the Washington Monument below.
